Bishop Lester C. Jones

Our bishop has been ministering for at least 38 years and pastoring since 1987. He also worked in the chapel system for 23 years and was a faithful volunteer in Youth for Christ and the 700 Club. He was under the leadership of the late Bishop W.B. Henderson, Trinity Temple until the Lord called him and Sister Jones out to start the Maranatha Family Worship Center in 1987. Bishop Jones graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS. He also attended Penn Valley Community College and Berean Bible Institute. Bishop Jones loves the Lord, God's people, missions, outreach, and his family – the body of Christ!

Message From Our Church Bishop

“Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. – 1 Corinthians 13:13.

A healthy marriage is a lifelong exercise in love, fidelity, trust, understanding, forgiveness, caring, sharing, and encouragement. It requires empathy, tenderness, patience, and perseverance. It is the union of two adults, both of whom are willing to compromise and, when appropriate, apologize. It requires heaping helpings of common sense, common courtesy, and common caring.

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. – Proverbs 19:21 This is crucial truth tells us that we can make all the plans we want in this life, but if we don't make our plans according to the purposes for which God created us, then our plans will be in vain.

Co-Pastor Prophetess Annette Y. Jones

She has been saved since 1979. The Lord called them to start Maranatha F.W.C. in 1987. At that time, only Bishop was preaching. The Lord soon called Co-Pastor to preach, but when the Lord called her, she didn't come right away. Sis. Jones persisted to tell the Lord "No!” until she slipped and fell on an icy step one winter day and broke her arm. From that day until now, she has told the Lord "Yes!”. Co-Pastor preaches and teaches Sunday early morning and regular service. She also leads women's meetings and retreats.
